Job Description:
The manager for this team has opened up the requirements a little bit more and is now open to having Chef experience instead of uDeploy/uRelease. They need to be strong with Powershell scripting (team is looking at doing Defined State Config. In the future).
This person will be part of the Production Operations Team. The team's primary responsibility is production support of the applications and environments servicing the Personal and Workplace Investing business and financial representatives. The team supports applications across thousands of workstations and hundreds of servers. This position may include any of the following: incident management, change management, application and environment configuration, application deployment, problem resolution, and project management. Some support activities and implementations will be after hours or on the weekends as needed. The successful candidate will also participate in the teams' on-call rotation providing off hours support.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot Windows server and desktop application issues
Build, script, and configure Windows server and desktop application installations
Rollout new application code/builds in various production and non-production environments
Provide application support for distributed Windows server and desktop applications
Coordinate various different server related initiatives
Perform production on call support on a rotational bases
Qualifications
Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience with Windows server administration and desktop support
Excellent communication skills

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
Overall Windows server and desktop troubleshooting support background
Ability to triage and remediate application issues that occur on Windows servers and IIS
Working knowledge of 3DNS and BIGIP
Experience working with Windows server farms load balanced across multiple geographic locations
Familiarity with Agile methodology and DevOps
General knowledge of Microsoft development methodologies such as Visual Basic, .NET, and WSDL a plus
Experience working closely with development and QA teams to manage environments and configure/deploy software in development, QA, performance and production environments
Proven track record of successfully coordinating and executing software installations in non-production environments so that there are no interruptions or delays with functional and performance testing
Proven track record of successfully coordinating and executing software installations in critical production desktop and server environments with no interruptions or downtime for the business
Other Skills:
Modern programming knowledge (C#, ASP.net) a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
