We are currently seeking a Supervisor II to join our team in Westlake, TX.
The Tax Service Supervisor II is generally responsible for directly supervising a team of exempt and/or non-exempt operations employees. This may include lower level supervisors. Additional duties include interacting directly with internal and external business partners & management on day to day productivity, performance, service level agreements, capacity planning and volumes. This position represents operations in client meetings. This position closely monitors quality, production and escalated/high profile issue resolution. This position is considered an experienced-level supervisor whereby the processes supervised are typically more complex in nature or multiple functions are managed.
Job Duties:
- Supervise a team of exempt and/or non-exempt operations employees. This may include lower level supervisory staff. Responsible for complex processes or multiple functions.
- Coach, discipline and train employees; write and deliver performance reviews; assign and audit work; ensure employees adhere to company and department policies and procedures; manages, schedule and approve time and coverage; interview, hire and terminate within company policies.
- Monitor and measures teams performance through use of quality control and productivity metrics.
- Set goals for employees based on department objectives.
- Manage daily interactions with internal/external business partners, taxing authorities and/or management. Manages functions related to core product groups.
- Review production, performance, quality, and service level agreements.
- Plan staffing capacity based upon volumes.
- Coordinate workflows and processes for the team with management, client representatives, other teams, and international resources.
- Create queries, produce reports, and manipulate spreadsheets for management and client review. Resolve escalated issues utilizing various resources.
- May work directly with client or management, both inside and outside of department, to resolve issues. Recommend process and procedure efficiency improvements to management for consideration. May implement recommendation if approved.
- Manage and oversee special projects or specialized job functions such as data management, testing, tax sale research, QC of new initiatives, etc.
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- High School diploma or GED required; College degree is preferred
- Requires at least five years of industry or operational experience, preferably in tax payments
- Requires at least three years of supervisory experience
- Works under general supervision
- Decision making is limited to specific scope of responsibility
- Recommends efficiency improvements for processes, policies and procedures
- Establishes performance standards based upon department work volumes and complexity of tasks.
- This position generally supervises a team of fulltime direct reports. All workers are exempt and/or non-exempt working in a production environment. This may include lower level supervisory staff. This position has full accountability for employee performance, training, workload assignments, adherence to company and department policies and procedures, and work schedules.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
